Crafting & Item Quality¶
What you craft carries your name — and your skill. Every station craft is stamped with who made it, their profession level, and a quality grade that improves as they level.
The Forged-By stamp¶
Weapons, armor, tools, and gemstones crafted at stations carry a stamp showing the crafter, their profession level, the grade, and the craft date.
Grades climb with profession level:
| Level | Grade |
|---|---|
| 1–24 | Crude |
| 25–49 | Rough |
| 50–74 | Sturdy |
| 75–99 | Fine |
| 100–124 | Superior |
| 125–149 | Exquisite |
| 150–174 | Masterwork |
| 175–199 | Pristine |
| 200 | Flawless |
Gear stats scale with the crafter's Blacksmithing level. Gem crafts scale with Gemforging, and gemstone success rates gain +1% per 20 profession levels (+10% at level 200).
Buy from good crafters
Because the stamp records who made an item and stats scale off their level, gear from a high-level blacksmith is genuinely better than the same recipe made by a beginner. It's worth checking the stamp before you buy.
Refining bonus ingots¶
Every refinery craft rolls for extra ingots, and the odds scale hard with Blacksmithing level:
- Level 1 — about a 52% chance of +1
- Level 25 — +1 guaranteed
- Level 50 — +1 guaranteed, plus a coin flip for +2
- Level 100 — +2 guaranteed, plus a coin flip for +3
- Level 200 — +4 guaranteed, plus a coin flip for +5
When a bonus lands you get a chat line describing the lucky pour. Ingots are never stamped, so they stay clean and stackable.
Cooking¶
Food is only as good as the cook. Buff strength and duration scale with the cook's profession level, not the eater's. Each food has base, silver, and golden variants — golden versions have larger base values and longer durations.
A golden salad cooked at level 72, for example, gives +4.1% Movement Speed for 261 seconds. The same recipe from a level 10 cook is much weaker.
Gemforging enchant stones¶
One gem item covers an entire enchant family — the level (I, II, III…) is rolled at craft time from your Gemforging level and shown on the gem's lore. Socketing it applies the real enchantment.
- Below level 75, the highest tier you can roll rises steadily with your level.
- Above 75, the odds curve increasingly favours high rolls, all the way to level 200.
- Gemforging EXP from a craft scales with the rolled level, your own level, and how good the roll was — a perfect roll is worth 50% more EXP.
Mystery recipes¶
Forge and armory recipes with randomised outputs display as clean "Random Epic Helmet"-style entries rather than spoiling the exact roll you'd get.
Each masked recipe still shows you:
- the base stats for that item type and rarity,
- the roll summary — how many stats, their power ranges, enchant sockets, and gem quality,
- a live ingredient checklist, green when you have the item and red when you don't.
Nothing about crafting itself changes — only the display.
